House System
The House system is a central feature of the Senior School, fostering competition, camaraderie and pastoral care among students. Upon enrolment, students are allocated to a House, which remains with them throughout their time in the Senior School.
In the Senior School (Years 7–13), there are sixteen Houses in total—eight girls' Houses and eight boys' Houses—together paired as sister and brother Houses. For boarders, four of these Houses serve as both their academic and residential community, while the remaining twelve cater to day students. The Houses are named after birds native to Borneo, and students wear distinct ties and T-shirts to represent their House.
Each Senior School House is led by a Housemaster or Housemistress who oversees the academic and social development of the students. Students are grouped into tutor groups according to their year levels, with Years 7–9 and Years 10–13 having separate tutor sessions each morning.
Throughout the year, students participate in a variety of House competitions and activities, from sports and academic challenges such as: football, netball and swimming, debating, quizzes and music performances.
