Jerudong International School (JIS) is delighted to announce the extraordinary achievement of recent graduate Yong Tsen Lim in the 2024 Outstanding Pearson Learner Awards (OPLA). These awards honour the highest-performing students worldwide in Pearson Edexcel qualifications.
Following the outstanding IGCSE and A Level exam results that students from Jerudong International School (JIS) achieved in 2024, Pearson Education has awarded 13 Outstanding Pearson Learner Awards (OPLAs) to 7 students for receiving the Highest Mark in Brunei Darussalam.
Following the exceptional IGCSE and A Level results achieved by Jerudong International School (JIS) students in 2024, 53 learners have been awarded the prestigious Pearson Excellence Award. This year, fifty-three students from JIS received the Pearson Excellence Award.
Jerudong International School (JIS) hosted their annual Year 12 Higher Education Evening on Wednesday, 22nd January in the JIS Arts Centre. This event is a key part in every JIS students’ journey to researching and selecting the most suitable higher education pathway
On Friday, 6th December 2024, Jerudong International School (JIS) welcomed renowned Hot Air Balloon Pilot Allie Dunnington, who launched and landed her balloon on the school’s campus as part of her journey to break the world record for the most countries flown in a hot air balloon. This would make Allie the first person to fly a hot air balloon in Brunei Darussalam.
Jerudong International School (JIS) held performances of ‘The Addams Family’ at the JIS Arts Centre on Friday, 22nd November and Saturday, 23rd November 2024. The production consisted of 75 students from the Senior School as performers on stage. There were an additional 300 students and staff working hard behind the scenes.
Jerudong International School (JIS) was thrilled to host the annual Brunei Junior Sports League (BJSL) Athletics event on Wednesday, 13th November 2024. Around 250 students, from Years 5 to 6, competed on the day, representing Hornbill School, International School Brunei (ISB Bandar and ISB Seria), Panaga School and JIS.
Jerudong International School (JIS) is proud to announce the outstanding achievements of its students in the Senior Maths Challenge, organised by the UK Mathematics Trust (UKMT). This year, a record 164 students from JIS participated in the competition.
