Pre-University

The final two years of Jerudong International School, Years 12 and 13, are the pre-University years. JIS offers students a choice between three pathways to enable them to reach the University of their choice, depending on their interests and future career plans: Advanced Levels (A Levels), International Baccalaureate (IB Diploma) and International BTEC Level 3 Creative Media.

A LEVELS

Advanced Levels (A Levels)

The Advanced Level General Certificate of Education (A Levels) is a two-year internationally recognised programme. All A Level examinations are sat at the end of Year 13 after the full two years of study. A Level students are able select up to four subjects from a range of more than 25 on offer.

IB DIPLOMA

International Baccalaureate Diploma

IB Diploma students study six subjects (three at Standard Level and three at Higher Level) in a curriculum that offers a breadth of experience in languages, humanities, the experimental sciences, arts and mathematics. Students will also write an essay and study a critical thinking course.

BTEC

International BTEC Creative Media

Since August 2022, JIS offers the International BTEC Level 3 Creative Media course from Pearson. This course will include film-making, sound recording, publishing and web design; preparing students for the ever-changing media landscape. It is 100% internally assessed by the JIS Academic Team.
