Senior School: Middle Years
The first three years of the Senior School at Jerudong International School are the 'Middle Years'.
Students in Years 7, 8 and 9 are taught by Middle Years teaching specialists. They are provided with a challenging, vibrant and nurturing environment that enables each individual to flourish.
Middle Years Subjects
In Years 7 and 8, all students will study English, Mathematics, Science, Geography, History, Art, Computing, Design & Technology (Food and Nutrition, Product Design and Textiles), a Language (Bahasa Melayu, Chinese, Malay, French or Spanish), Drama and Music. This provides students with a solid foundation in a broad range of subjects.
Year 9, is a preparation year for the IGCSEs which are studied in Years 10 and 11. So Year 9 students will all study English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Geography, History and a Language (Bahasa Melayu, Chinese, Malay, French or Spanish). In addition, they will study 2 optional subjects from a range: Computing, Design & Technology: Food and Nutrition or Product Design or Textiles, Drama, Music or Art.
