Jerudong International School (JIS) is a vibrant and diverse community where every individual is welcomed and valued. We take pride in cultivating a culture of mutual respect and shared responsibility. Together, we are committed to promoting global citizenship, while also striving to advance sustainable development in all that we do.
Our student leaders play a central role in fostering initiatives that align with the Sustainable Development Goals and encourage small yet significant actions, known as ‘Teaspoons of Change’, that impact both local and global communities. Our student-centred diagram encapsulates the ethos of JIS, reflecting our beliefs and aspirations. Together, we are committed to creating a more equitable, peaceful and sustainable world for everyone.
When students take meaningful actions that align with our aims, they are awarded a Polio Point. When they earn a point for each aim, the school donates $1 to UNICEF to help in the global fight against polio eradication. Each year, students collectively earn over 10,000 Polio Points, raising more than $10,000 in partnership with Serikandi.
